I have been using my tape player a lot lately, and every now and then a "clean head unit" message will flash on the radio. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, exactly what you have done to correct it. I'm pretty sure I know that it means to clean the dang thing, just curious if anyone could give me anymore info on it. |

yes mine comes up when i use it. Just get a head cleaner or tape deck cleaner at an electronic store and just follow the directions. Marcel |

we used to have a disco I that did that - i think radioshack might have the cleaning kit for it - or they used to at least - the "clean head unit" message comes up after every 30 hours (or there abouts) of tape player use |

It comes on with every 15 hours of use of the tape player, according to the owner's manual. joe |
