I would kind of like to by a home OBD tool so i can figure out some of rovers quirks myself. Just wanted to know if any one knew for sure before i went out and spent a few hundred....

OBD I was up to and including '95's. '96 and up use OBD II. your truck with OBD I has an LED readout. you can use the following link to source some of your codes.
OBD II uses a scan tool.
