It has become painfully obvious to me that if I want to tow a trailer this summer, I will have to make my own harness. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as where to get the box/bracket where the trailer harness would plug in.

Thanks

I believe a $30 or $40 harness from Uhaul works great...search the archives

Kevin,
most people just have the bar Uhaul plug either stashed behind the rear seats (7 seat model) or in that cubby box. Others have routed it down behind the rear right tail light and stow it near the hitch receiver.
I guess you could get a box for it to rest in so it's not dangling there.

Check out http://www.discoweb.org/tech.htm for a part number of a simple harness.

you will need a conversion type from euro to us lights.
if you want to spend the $ at atlantic british the sell a kit for 119usd witch plugs straight in the Disco wiringloom behind the right rear light and comes with extension with converter and hitch complete with lock pin

Latest word from the dealership was they've had a service alert that the wiring harness will be available in May. This time its for real also. They swear, really they mean it this time, they promise.

Kevin, I bought a trailer plug from AB that plugged right into the round LR plug behind the passenger tail light for $50ish. I didn't want to hassle with cusomizing my own and it's just "plug-and play".

I e-mailed my dealer and they have not gotten a release date from LRNA so I'd go with the Atlantic British version
