Well I got my front Diff guard and went to put it on, but seems like it will not just slip on. There seems to be a bar in front of the diff that is preventing me from installing it. How do I disconnet this bar is it hard to do? |

Yep. My thread. Un-bolt the passenger side. Make sure you have the proper tools. It will be easier. |

Once you get them both installed (you ARE doing a rear diff guard as well, right!) Take your truck down to a welders or muffler shop and have them tack weld the diff guards on. It shouldn't cost more than $20 and it provides alot of piece of mind on the trail knowing that the diff guards won't come off after a good hit on the rocks. Has anyone had a problem with the $G rear diff guard not fitting properly or rubbing the gas tank? Maybe I was told wrong. I was told that the front guard has a "smooth" face and the rear guard has the "triangluar" welded spot on the face. My rear guard with the triangular spot is rubbing my gas tank. I've removed it for now. I'd try switching but I had to remove the pan hard rod for the front and the dealership tightened it for me. I'll probably never get it off again. Any thoughts? |

You are correct, little triangle in the rear. Mine doesn't rub... that's $G for you! -Kris |

On a DII, front and rear are the same. No rubbing here either. Jess |
