The front and rear axles have a 1/2" female recess on the fill and drain plugs. Use a 1/2" ratchet to remove the drain plug, drain the fluid. Replace the plug, open the fill plug and fill until the fluid comes out the hole. I find putting a short piece of tubing on the end of the nozzle on the bottle works well for me, but some like to get complicated and use a pump arrangement. The axle housings will take about three litres of oil (90 wt. gear lube). The swivels each have three plugs (depending upon year). If they are filled with oil rather than grease, pull the top plug, then the middle plug and finally the bottom plug and the oil will drain out. Replace the bottom plug, turn the wheel away from the vehicle (makes it easier to fill as the swivel is out of the way of the hole in this position) and fill the swivel until oil comes out the middle plug. Replace the remaining plugs and you're good to go. Each swivel will hold approximately 375 millilitres. Peace, Paul |

Not to split hairs, but when draining always remove the fill plug before the drain plug. It helps with the draining and it won't have you freaking out if you drain and can't get that fill plug out to refill. BTDT. joe |
