Anybody running with these tires in a size larger than stock? Reviews? Impressions on and off-road? A lot of people have them on various vehicles around here because they get them at Les Schwab. They look a lot like M/T's but have factory sipping and most people put them on their pick-ups with the white lettering out...

I had these same tires on a Chevy truck that I owned a few years back. While I can't comment on offroad ability I can tell you that they are extremely loud on the highway. They started off at what I would consider an acceptable noise level when new for this type of tire and gradually got much louder. I ended up replacing them prematurely simply because I couldn't stand the noise on a daily basis. FWIW.

I had them on another truck and they suck! They were almost gone (70%) at 20k miles. Spend the money and get BFG MTs and have them siped. They will get you anywhere you need to go in the PNW. Mine still have 40-45% tread left with 35k on them. Discount/Americas Tire Company is the best place to go and they match prices.

Mr. Bailey,

Call Scott at Scott's Tire Factory
1616 Southeast M L King Boulevard, Portland,
(503) 232-8498

He can hook you up with the best price around on Dunlop Radial Rover R/Ts -- the 235/85's fit perfectly with Kyle's fender push technique.

I just put the tires on myself this winter. I haven't done too much with them, but I've played a bit on snow, ice, and mud and they were great. Others on Dweb with more experience agree, too. An added bonus is that they are just as quiet on the road as my old stockers.

R.B.
I agree about the Dunlop R/T's. I got mine from Charlie's Tire Factory on SE 82nd & Holgate for about $530 for a set of five. I love them. They are just as good a street tire as the stockers but they also do great in the sticks.
I've had mine in alot of snow going to Mt. Hood Meadows every weekend. I've even taken them to Browns Camp.
You wont be disappointed. Mine are 245/75 by the way. I wish I had gotten 235/85.
Dan
