Maybe its just me, but every time I go to an event for the weekend or something i always find myself wishing I had brought a girl w/me. Its the perfect setting for a good hook up! It had never occured to me how much more fun it would be w/ a little hottie around... but im sure they have their draw backs. any advice from those LR studs out there? N

If you happen across a cache of hotties that like rovers please let me know. Only ones I run across dig that fart can sound.

ROTFL...thanks for making me realize my age. Ain't nothing like having a little hottie around, but man, one day you realize how lucky you are when you come inside blabbing about some wheel bearing or getting the distributor rebuilt or how you fixed the driveshaft....and she turns with a smile and hands you a newcastle.

I think is the trick is to get them to drive once a while. My wife thought wheeling was silly and didn't understand why anyone would have any interest in it. She liked camping with me so she would go with me. Then I let her drive a trail one day and she fell in love with it. So now she gets excited when I start reviewing maps to go somewhere. Now I can't get anything other than a rover, she thinks the jeep gc is too small and when I checked out the Rubicon she thought it was death trap. I haven't tried to go to a series or defender yet, but the disco works fine. Actually I was ready to sell it so I could pay for graduate school and she got mad at me and said, we love that truck, if you sell it we can't go wheeling lets get rid of my audi first. I think I found a keeper.

Andy,

The wife was not happy about me going camping to Rover Rallies, so I invited her along. She was reluctant, but said yes, and went to MAR with me. I talked her into driving a bit, and had a blast. Came along to Uwharrie, had a great time despite the weather...

We're planning on the next MAR already....

:-)

I'm a high school senior and there is a good number of non-prude girls at my school and I can honestly say that "Hey, wanna go four wheeling?" is about the best hook-up line ever. It works like a charm...

Hey J_C..I resent that post!

There ARE 'hotties' (am I being bold or what?!) that LOVE Rovers...
At MAR my fiance commented that it seemed everyone else there in a Rover was a guy with their wives/girlfriends riding passenger...he said "why is my girlfriend DRIVING?!" :-)

And Mike...I agree 100% it works both ways...he can hand ME the newcastle! British cars and British beer...MMMM

I think it is fun with a hottie, but the only thing is that they tend to be kinda loud and scream! Or that is just my experence with my girlfriends.

Honestly, what isn't more fun with a hottie? My experience: My friend James is friends with one of the Tennessee Titans cheerleaders. Well, one night, he called her, and she said that she and a couple of friends would be back in town for the weekend, and that we should all get together. We decided, "What the heck, let's take them off-roading." Turns out that her friends were half of the Titans cheerleaders! So we took them, and I spent that whole Saturday with Miss January grabbing my leg in utter suspense, and Miss October (maybe November, not really sure) clutching my arm in sheer excitement. I say, THAT'S how you should wheel.

what's her address/email/phone number?
it's more like "why don't you [insert some boring house chore] instead of wasting time in the garage? Besides, you drank your newcastle two weeks ago!"

Adam - it ain't Christmas now to be tellin' stories like that
