when ever i'm going up an incline, on road, my rover begins to shake unless i hammer on the gas... it's almost as if the fuel filter is preventing a lot of fuel from getting to the engine... also, my car always has a laggy start when it starts fresh after long hours... but starts fine when i've driven it in a half hour or so... what could be the problem? the fuel filter? could i be clogged... dont know when the previous owner changed it last

Check your vacuum hose to the fuel regulator. Seems like you could have a small leak. Hose could have a little hole in it.

Buy a bottle of Chevron Techron injector cleaner. It's about $10.00. Don't buy any other brand. Get your tank down to about empty, dump a bottle in and add about 10 gallons of gas. I replaced my plugs, wires and VSS to solve my problem and none of it worked. The Chevron Techron fixed my problem within a few miles of driving.

is there ANY chance this could be a fuel pump problem... it hasnt started right for some time now but the shaking is new... i'm running a bottle of Chevron injector cleaner through my system. Also, could this be a clogged fuel filter problem?
