I have a disco 2 that I will installing an after market trailer wiring harness. I was curios if the trailer dash light will light up if there is a trailer connected, using the non landrover part.
If anyone has installed one of these let me know.

Hi Teddy
Should light up, as the relay is still the same and if it see`s the extra load, it will light up.
Hope this helps

Teddy,
Here's a link for D2 wiring
http://www.discoweb.org/trailerwire/index.htm
The light will light up as Peter says, because of the extra load.

Do you really need the blinking tow light to remind you that you still have a trailer following you? If so, you may have more serious problems than just being chased by a trailer.

No Jason, you have a blinking tow light to let you know that your trailer lights are working, and that you are less likely to cause an accident or get booked for faulty trailer lights :/

Check you shorts! I mean check for a short or cut wire after your splice.
