I can't get the front caliper piston bcak in after changing front pads and rotors. I tried using a clap, lube, pumping the brakes. Any suggestions???

Did you disconnect the brake line? If so do that to relieve the pressure. Then reconnect it after and bleed it.

Is the piston all the way out, or is it stuck in mid bore?

Don't disconnect the brake line - just open the bleed screw and press it back in. Though if it is stuck in mid-bore, sounds like it is either cocked or you have serious corrosion in the caliper.

Bill is on the right track. Check to see how far it was extended. They have been known to cock at the very end of their travel, usually necessitating replacement as the seals become questionable (in my view).

FWIW-when they get like this, I replace the entire caliper rather than taking a chance with it given the safety-related nature of the part.
