What's so special about these mats that they can demand the prices they do? Are there any after market alternatives?

Why does everything LR cost so much? Your paying for the heritage. Being smashed with Rhino dung and stuff. LOL!

No really, shop around you can find them for less. There are plenty of knock offs too.

Whats worse is when you have to replace them. I have the genuine rubber matt set (front and rear). The drivers side has a hole, but the other mats are still in good shape. I cant seem to be able to buy just the drivers matt, I have to buy the whole set!

Just make your own. I made my own cargo mat. Talked to an industrial supply company and got a bunch of scrap pieces of rubber (all the same kind) and they even offered to glue them together for me. It's 5/18" thick with a foam core and the top is heavy rubber with a checker plate pattern. Works quite well.

I bought just a front set for my disco, from a dealer. Maybe he didn`t want to sell you only two!
Go ask again!

Sell it on ebay to someone that just has a worn out passenger one? Infact all my mats are crap they were LRNA ones when the car was new in 1998 but now they bunch up and have rubber falling off the bottom :-)

I'm thinking about replacing with the LR rubber mats, does anyone know the cheapest place to but them?

Hey Guys, IIRC, you can buy seperate front and back sets for the D2, but for the D1 they make you get the whole set. In either event, what I really want is just one mat, the drivers front mat. The passenger and rears are ok. I'll check again.

Hi Chris
Well I just posted a book to FL, and this costed me about £3, which is about $4-5, so yeah if you want.
What do you need, is it just a left hand side front?
I will weigh it and find out a cost to post!!
What a laugh!

Hi Chris
If you want it, I can send it over to you, I will swap for a set of used front fog lights!
Think about it or e-mail me direct.

Just fit lino tiles all over, that way you won't have to worry about ruining the carpet when you take the truck for a swim. LOL

go get the Kraco brand rubber mats...they fit better then the factory mats and they hold way way more water and slop before spilling over.

they also make a matching long skinny runner for the back seat that covers everything.
