Remote oil resovoir?

I was thinking about installing a single or dual filter for the engine oil and a single filter for the transmission fluid. Instead of just the normal water hot-cold temp. gauge I want something a little more accurate like 2 VDO gauges...one for engine oil temp. and the other for the transmission temp. Maybe go ahead and do three with a water temp. too. Has anyone done any of this?   Jason T.
