I have some chrome lights that are rusting and I don't like chrome much anyways. I am wanting to spray paint them black. Do I need to scrape the chrome off (if thats possible), then primer and then paint with high heat paint? Thats what I've come up with. Any input would be appreciated. |

I had O.K. luck painting some chrome KC's. I sanded them down with some 100 or 120 grit sand paper just to ruogh them up first then rattle-caned em. |

Did you use a high heat spray paint, or just normal ole' paint? |

As I recall, it was regular "gloss" (had to keep a little bling) black paint. The housing on mine never got that hot, so it was not a problem |

I have seen a home made decal for the back window of a car that said "HATA'S" with one of those 'no smoking' cirle with a line through it things over it. It was made from that shiny silver duct tape. truly a classic example |
