i recently purchased a 96 disco. The first owner (who worked at a rover dealer) said that it is a rare defender edition disco. it is green with a white top. the green is a defender color not available on disco. to this day ive yet to see a white topped disco. the guy claimed that it was only one of 40 sent to the u.s. Is this true, or does anyone know where i can look further to find out. even if he was making it up i dont care because it is still the coolest disco i have ever seen.

I've never heard of anything like that but if you want to find out more, send an email to one of the Land Rover magazines. They'll track down the information for you (LRNA is more likely to repsond to them). Land Rover Monthly was very helpful in finding some info out for me.
