I just installed my trailer braking system, got the Tekonsha Prodigy with inertia braking automatic leveling etc..., it's pretty cool. But, they had all sorts of instructions for wiring the system into several different cars. But, of course, not specifically for the Rovers. (Let me say this though, the good Rover gods were looking over me when I put my U-haul wire job in, because I had no idea what I was doing 2 years ago and it still works on all 4 different trailer lighting systems that I use!!) Anyway, I don't have it wired for auto braking when I step on the brake pedal because it specifically says to wire it to the "cold side of the brake PEDAL switch." Now, without a good colored schematic, and a few photos, I would be cutting and testing wires - not a good idea with the sensitive ABS systems in these trucks. So, is there anyone out there who can tell me where to safely tap into to get the brake system to work automatically? (right now I have to brake the trailer with the manual lever.) http://landrover.mrbaileyshistory.net |
