I have noticed that my rear braklight is not coming on when the brakes are depressed. Can somone help me out with what type of light I need and how I get in to replace it. Thank you in advance. Greg |

Greg: The tiallights are accessed through panels in the back, adjacent to the rear door, on either side. To gain access, remove the jumpseats if so equipped, there are little plastic caps snapped over phillips head screws that retain the panels. Remove the screws and panels, drink a beer to steel yourself for the next operation and reach inside and twist the bulb holders free. Be aware that often-times, the contacts can become bent, forming deadly weapons that can cut your fingertips to shreds. They are not the easiest to access. Peace, Paul |

Thanks Paul! I need to know what kind of light is needed to replace, I guess I could pull it out then go buy one, but it would be nice to already have it. So what type of light do I need to get? |

Depends-it is most likely an 1156 (that's from memory and it ain't what it used to be). Go buy a two-filament tail/stop light bulb and you should be good to go. You might also reference your owners manual, it might give the specs, or if you want to be really masochistic, you could go buy one from the dealer, but take your bank book with you, they probably get $10.00 for each bulb:-) Peace, Paul |
