I posted this question awhile ago and never got an answer. I'm looking to buy a Disco I winch tray and I need to make sure it will fit my 95 Classic. It is my understanding that the frames are the same upfront. Is this true? Also, are the crush cans in the same position? I would think they have to be very similar. If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it. | ||

Ian I ran this set up for a while I even matched it up with a RRC and it indeed looked like it would fit, interms of frame rails. THe problem was the front end on a RRC sticks out a lot further than a disco 1...That being, when you install this tray on the disc, you have to remove the plinth, so the tray sits flush up against the bumper. Im not sure how accesable the bumper is on a RRC, and if you would need to cut anything in order to have it sit uprite and level. a simple solution would be to measure your frame rails on your RRC and measure the space between the mounts on the winch tray. also, take the small brackets that attach to the frame rails and put them under the truck,.. so you can see if the mounting holes will line up, or you will need to redrill JOshua | ||

Thanks for your input. JE Robison says it probably won't work. I wonder why LR never made a winch kit for the classic. They have made one for every other model other than the freelander. |
