I recently had my headliner replaced. While driving home I realized my seat position had been changed. I quickly realized neither power seats were working. Then, later in the day when trying to pull into my garage I realized that the Homelink buttons were not working either. The red light above the Homelink buttons did not illuminate.

Could this be a Fuse problem? I looked through the fuse descriptions and did not find any listed that read 'electric seats' or HomeLink.
Does anyone know what # fuse I should be looking for?

Or did the upholstery guys do a hack job?
thanks,
Mike

Hard to see how the upholstery guys could have screwed up the electrical system, but hey, you never know.

Good luck.

Well, if you look under your drivers seat (in a DII) that is where the fuses for the seats are kept. See if theyre blown....I will check my manual for you too.

I have a 97 disco and my passenger seat doesn't work either. Are you saying that it is just a fuse. Is there a fuse for both seats? My driver seat works.

Michelle, I had the same issue you did, until I removed the switch, then cleaned the internal contacts w/ some alcohol and a Q-tip. The seat now works like a charm! Visit this link for instructions: http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/seatcontrols.htm
Mike, I would check your fuse(s)first.

Hi Mike, If the seat works with the car off and the drivers door open check fuse F6 in the facia fuse box. It feeds the right seat relay which supplies ground to the seat switches with the key turned on and the drivers door closed. F6 also feeds the vanity lamps. That could be the connection.

Thanks for the quick response. I've been away for a few days. Anyway, you are the man Jim. Sure enough the driver's seat works w/ the door open and engine off. 'Will check the fuse this weekend.
Passenger seat still doesn't work, any ideas?

Adrian, thanks for the website. I am sure it will come in handy. As for the seat switch, I will check it out this weekend.
