I have seen frequent mention of wiring the CB direct to the battery to enable using the rig when the vehicle is off. Usually it mentions running wires thru the firewall, etc. Is it not possible to tap into the Battery wire in the ignition harness (12 V + constant) to do this as is done with most aftermarket security/remote starters? I'm interested if anyone has gone this route, according to the Tech section this would be a Brown wire. Thanx in advance... |

Yes, you can do that. You can also tap into the fuse box under the steering colum and to a fuse that has power all the time. Search the archives for more information. |
