Hey guys...

(inspired by the Hotie question).

My rig has some scratches in the paint and I was kicking around the idea of re-painting it. I haven't seen any colors I liked....but then saw these and thought they looked nice. It's between the white and the orange. The only samples of these colors were found in these pics...I just can't decide....

Around $12,000 at the place I talked to. (They specialize in LR and take every peice apart to paint)

anyone that quoted you $12,000 is selling you on the fact that you drive a rover. I write estimates for our body shop and a good all-over paint job...$3000-3500. This isn't macco i'm talking about...this is a good body shop. If you wanted to change the color of a disco....$4500-5000. If the body is in a little worse shape tack on $500-1000. Under no circumstances should you have to pay any more than $6000 for a paintjob. And for $6k it better be a damn good one...no fisheyes, dust, or orange peel and it's gotta be buffed out til it gets a perfect reflection.

Well you know what we Hummer guys say, especially the H2 guys: If we can't kick ass...we may as well buy it!!

I was getting a little worried there...seems the topic instantly turned into a serious paint discussion....having completely overlooked my color swatches.

RE: buying or kicking ass, I thought Carter's bumper sticker said something along the lines of H2's "suck ass":-)

Jack.....I wondered when someone would bring that up. I suppose it fair to say that we negotiate ass on all levels. As far as sucking...we suck Gass.

Brian...freudian slip...but I like where your going with that line of thinking! Would you care to see the front-side of those gals????

Nahh...I'd get booted off the list AND it would present an afront to your delicate nature!

$12,000 USD, for that sort of money I could get both my trucks painted with PPG 'Cameleon'.

Yeah I thought 12k was super high too, but this guy "specializes" in LR's- I'd like to see that pic in G4 orange.

So do G-Strings actually qualify for clothes?

'Cause if I dressed like that I would be aressted.

I don't know if they qualify for clothing or not....but I'm determined to investigate the whole phenomena and dedicate as much research into the matter as it DEMANDS! All in the name of science!

I'm not sure...but the thin floss-like nature does strike me as being something of a "limited slip differential" between cheeks? Maybe it's some form of tow-strap...and let's not even get started on the "snatch block" thing :-)
