On a 94 Disco, the ventilation fan is making a vibration noise. The higher the fan setting, the louder the noise. The sound seems to be coming from under the glove box. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Thank you! |

Remove the black trim panel on the passenger side, just behind the glove box using a flat screwdriver to pop the trim pieces Using a 5/16s or 7/16 (can't recall which) nut driver loosen and remove the three screws holding the HVAC fan in place. Remove the wiring conector To get the fan out, you'll have to move a wiring harness out of the way, Remove fan (it now drops out) Remove crud from inside fan, and also check hoses leading to the fan for more. Reinstall is the reverse of removal. You have mice to thank for this. You may have to do it again in a few days as the rest of their nest slips down the pipe and into the fan. But now you are a pro and its easy! |
