I know there are quite a few BMW heads out there and was wondering if anyone has come across any info on a 3.9/4.0 swap for the 2.8. South African Defenders were shipped with them for a while. How much would really be involved? Adapters? ECU? Hell, I don't even know if the SA Defenders are OBD-2...and why stop there...if the 2.8 would fit then why not the 3.2(if you could find one cheap) Better aftermarket for the 2.8, better fuel economy, there are a shitload of them out there, it's just a great engine. Ok. Torque is a little low at 207 but that can easily be remedied by Jim C. I'm not considering it however with the Powerstroke swap thread going on, I am just trying to get the dialog going for possible engine swaps. Any thoughts? Shut the fuck up and wait for the Powerstroke? | ||
