So, over on one of the other BBS there was a thread on de-carbonizing cylinderheads using injected water. Now, I'm pretty new here but I have heard enough about the LR engines to know they've gotta be all carboned up after a few years. Anybody done this? and ..well.. and not grenaded their engine?

Dave
I reckon it will lift the carbon on the heads but the back of the valves is were the problem is.Try Wynns carbon buster and tip it in the PCV hose while the engine is running this works well on the valves and heads.

Seafoam works well also - I used it a few weeks ago. You can find it at NAPA - much other info on this product on this site if you do a search.
