Anti-Freeze Residue

I am finding almost impossible to get crystalline residue off of plenum and other parts. When I took the ram housing and plenum cover off to remove the fuel injectors, I cleaned it with a thorough dose of carb cleaner, and it looks like new again. $0.79 at your local parts store.
