My 1997 NA LR Disco is getting close to 90K and would like to change out the spark plugs. I have performed a search on discoweb.org but did not find anything useful. I know the owners manual recommends Champion spark plugs but I hoping to hear from everbody what works best. Is it recommended to change out the plug wires as well???

Thank you in advance for any help:-)

I like my NGK v-powers. Napa #1233. If you have your original plug wires, go ahead and replace them with a set of magnecors. Go here for the magnecors : http://www.roverconnection.com/

Mine only likes the original Champion RN11YCC plugs.

This is the only vehicle I have had that it seem picky. You have to order them, but I just stock up from www.discountrover.com when I get oil filters and the such. Besides, Nathan has great prices on wires too!

We generally use locally available Champion RN12YC on trucks like yours. Older trucks often run better with one step hotter (12 vs. 11)

Bosch copper-core's (I don't know the part number but I use the same heat range as the Champion RN12YC). Cheap (about $1.25 a plug) and replace them every oil change (4k miles).

Although, you can't beat the price of those Autolite's at Wal-mart...

:-)I would like to thank everybody that responded!!!:-)

A question that I failed to ask is how often do you replace the spark plugs in the Disco. I was told every 10K miles but I had a hard time believing that interval.
