My 1997 NA LR Disco is getting close to 90K and would like to change out the spark plugs. I have performed a search on discoweb.org but did not find anything useful. I know the owners manual recommends Champion spark plugs but I hoping to hear from everbody what works best. Is it recommended to change out the plug wires as well??? Thank you in advance for any help |

I like my NGK v-powers. Napa #1233. If you have your original plug wires, go ahead and replace them with a set of magnecors. Go here for the magnecors : http://www.roverconnection.com/ |

Mine only likes the original Champion RN11YCC plugs. This is the only vehicle I have had that it seem picky. You have to order them, but I just stock up from www.discountrover.com when I get oil filters and the such. Besides, Nathan has great prices on wires too! |

We generally use locally available Champion RN12YC on trucks like yours. Older trucks often run better with one step hotter (12 vs. 11) |

Bosch copper-core's (I don't know the part number but I use the same heat range as the Champion RN12YC). Cheap (about $1.25 a plug) and replace them every oil change (4k miles). Although, you can't beat the price of those Autolite's at Wal-mart... |

I would like to thank everybody that responded!!! A question that I failed to ask is how often do you replace the spark plugs in the Disco. I was told every 10K miles but I had a hard time believing that interval. |
