It appears my AC condensor is leaking hot water into the passenger compartment of my disco series 2. It is running out next to the center console and soaking the carpet on the passenger floor boards. Any idea what might be causing this? |

Clogged condensate drain lines. Located above and to both sides of the trannie. |

Paul, Can you blow themout from below, or do I need to find the connection to the AC unit and blow from there? Tom

Tom, I have the same problem. I cannot find the drains for the life of me. Can anyone point out (in detail) where they are? |

Tom, You can blow them out from below. You just have to get under there and (for me) just play with the rubber nipples a bit! Some people say you should poke a coat hanger up there a bit to unblock them. Watch out because a stream of water is almost guaranteed to run down your arm (I'd wait for the car/water to cool down first). Adam, From memory, they're just front of halfway between the middle of the wheelbase. They are (as mentioned) either side of the transmission on the floor of the truck. You'll see two small rubber nipples (about 1/2" diameter) with slits cut in them to let the water out. Each one is in the middle of a featureless space, i.e. they're easy to see, not hidden behind anything. If you search this forum and the archives, you'll find heaps of messages. I can't link to it directly, but if you search for "I have a puddle in my front passenger side!!!" (make sure you select Look in: Subject lines) there's a picture of one of the nipples in there. It doesn't help much, though. I found it easier to just get under there with my Petzl on and look - found it in 10secs. Hope that helps, Toby |
