Just wondering how those who ordered the initial run of racks felt about them.

I dont think anyone has actually gotten one yet. I emailed them last week and I guess they just now got a welder to start doing them. They should be done by end of month. I'll post back when I finally get mine.

NWP has some good prices on stuff and Andy seems like a very cool and genuine guy but I think putting these racks up for sale before they were made and advertising them as "not a cheap substitute" before the finished product was available to be inspected was a little bit of a fuck up. I hope they turn out well though.

I think you are right Carter, but I also have seen the NWParts facility - Andy's living room. And I have met his staff - his wife. I believe he is doing this as a second job and just this year has expanded his efforts to include the web site. With that in mind, I think he's doing pretty good.

The springs I bought from him have 1000 miles on them with no ill effects. I would be the first to line up for the rack if I didn't already have a Safety Devices rack on my truck right now.

And if I were to order one from him, I would pay extra to have it modified to include mounting posts for a High-lift and some kind of integrated flooring.

But you would have to talk to Andy about it.

Oh yeah, I didn't mean it to come off as that harsh. I have exchanged a few emails with him and he sounds like a stand up guy, I just think he made a mistake. He has quoted me some great prices in the past, I was about to buy a snorkel from him but found out from my mom that my dad was getting me one for christmas right before I was going to order it so I didn't. If I ever need to put in another ARB order he will be high up on the list.

Carter, as for posting about the rack and talking about quality before one has ever been biult, it's the way of the world. Take the Crosslander for example.

Speaking of the crosslander dealer, they called me last week with pricing on the base model with the gas engine, was supposed to call back with pricing on the diesel with the B package and never has.. :0 Thats probably for the better though too many toys already.

man, I don't want to start another crosslander thread but out of curiosity what did they quote you as a price??? Just curious if they stuck to that 'under 15K' thing that seemed a bit unreasonable at the time.

19k base model. engine changes didnt change the cost he said between gas and diesel. But it would be around the end of the year till they started to have the 3.0 international diesel ready for us sales. :-) it may be that long before we see the car with any motor from what it looks.
