A few weeks ago I posted a hot idle problem and went through the usual idle air motor, temp sensors, speed sensors etc. I have finally solved the problem (with the help of LR). Thermostat! Apparently the engine was never getting anywhere near up to temp, this was fine initially as the ECU control is open loop on pre-defined tables, however when the closed loop control initiates after a set time it assumes the engine is warm, as it was not it was vastly over-fueling and killing the idle (and gas mileage). Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem. Electrical problemI have an intermittent fault where I have general electrical / electronic failure. Every once in a while I loose most of my electronics (shift solenoids, radio, windows, controls etc) if I cycle the ignition key they come back any ideas?? Thanks
