to start off with, my car lags out when i try to do a cold start after the cars been sitting for a while. If i pump the gas, it starts faster. The car will always start it's just laggy. Next, my car shakes when i'm going up hill at a constant speed (not accelerating), my car shakes and stutters. After driving a while, when idling at a stoplight, the car will shake until i give it a little gas.. Also, my cruise control will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Check vacum line from intake plenum to the fuel pressure regulator, very similar problem to what I had.

For the cruise control, the most common problem is the vacuum lines. On the driver's side of the truck, above the valve cover, there is a round disc with a vacuum line going to it. On the in-board side, there is an arm that attaches to the throttle linkage. Follow the vacuum line back to the wing, there will be a tee with a line going to the bulkhead and the other heading for the front of the truck. They very commonnly break at the tee. I usually replace them all the way from the vacuum pump to the pedal. I believe the diameter is 3/32", but don't hold me to it.

Buy a manual!!! The factory manuals are great, but the Haynes manuals will at least get you started.

Peace,
Paul
