I just did my OME HD springs / shocks /etc tonight. I am still not complete. I have found the task quite easy, with exception to the front shock tower (bottom) nuts. The drivers side came off easily, but I spent 6.5 hours with the passenger side. Nothing is worse than working in a 2 inch by 3 inch space with a stripped nut that will not come off without WWIII occuring. The front of the truck is now complete. I need to buy an extension to my 1/2 compressed air impact wrench to reach the rear shocks. The nut is on there SOOO tight, it is like the fronts. yet, due to the angle; no impact wrench can reach it without an extension. Anyways, all nut problems aside, the actual time doing the work takes about 2 hous (being relaxed). Mike |
