Tonite, while my 2000 DII was parked outside my house, with the alarm on.....the alarm started going off...no big deal, could have been anything that set it off...so I turned the alarm off by pressing a button on the key/handset. Now when I try to re-arm the alarm, the horn goes off once (the sound like if a door isn't shut) and it seems like it is rearmed and the doors lock, but the interior lights don't go off! Anyone know if I need to reset something to get the lights to go off? I tried starting the car up, the lights stay on....very weird!!! I gave up, since it all happened at 11:00PM at nite...I just disconnected the battery for now...hoping someone has some advice for me tomorrow! Thanks in advance, Will |

I would play with all the doors and see if there is a problem with them shutting. That's all I can think of for now. |

Mine was doing that almost constantly. I'd close the driver door, it beeped. I would just start going around opening/closing doors to try and find out what door was wacky, but it was always a different door. I tried lubing the lock mechanisms, but this didn't do anything either. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the right rear door lock mechanism, you could hear it hanging up then clunking locked after the other doors locked. This didn't fix it either but it didn't do it as often. After about 3 weeks, it started working right again for no apparent reason. I think maybe the new lock mechanism was tight and it finally wore in and started working. I did find that usually if I cycled the locks with the dash button opened then closed, that it wouldn't beep. I must have ticked off the Lucas gods. |

Thanks for your help - I did what you guys suggested and just played some with the doors (just open and shut them a couple times) and all is fine now. I have a door that is similar to what you described, where it doesn't always lock/unlock with the other doors. Maybe the next time I get to the dealers I'll see if I can get them to replace the lock mechanism... Thanks! Will |
