I just wired up two new 100w auxiliary driving lights with a brand new harness, 30 amp relay and 30 amp fuse...followed the diagrams exactly (double and triple checked the wiring) and then... When I reconnected the ground on the battery, one light turned on immediately and I got nothing from the other (i.e., the light clearly was not switched). My dash switch did absolutely nothing (I bought an OEM auxiliary light switch and mounted it next to my cruise control switch on the dash). I don't profess to be an electrician but I have checked all of the connections several times and everything seems to be wired properly. I have compared the wiring to the three different lighting posts in the "tech" section and everything looks to be correct compared to those diagrams. Could this be a relay problem? The wires going into the relay match up with the wiring diagram that came with the harness. Any other thougths as to what might be causing this and how I might fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
