Will Disco II transfer case transplant into my 95 Discovery I. I have located a used unit from a 2000 Discovery II. I believe the Disco II does not have CDL linkage, but can I swap over my linkage? Both are auto transmission. My case is failing and it is in need of a transplant. Please help. Thank You.

How much for the Disco II T-case? I bet you can find a low miles one from a D1 for the same price or less.

They are both LT-230's so it should be able to swap. I believe all 1999.5 - 2001.5 D2 T-Cases have the stub and should mate up with your linkage. However, the D2 will likely have a more updated version of the LT-230 so you may want to verify.

Should just be a straight swap. Just ensure that the D2 T-case has the stub, as Curti said, after mid 2001 LR omitted the stub (a fact I wish I knew before hand)

Stubless

You will need to change the front output flange.

"please help out with information."

What information? It is basically the same T-case. Like Ron said, you may have to change the front flange. Are you looking for: a how to? If so, just unbolt the T-case and reinstall the new. I am sure it is more difficult than this sounds, but that is the process. Make sure to change the fluid before the procedure as it will be easier than after install. 'Nuff said.

Good luck!

Hi
Don`t forget to remove your fan, as when you drop the box to install new box, the fan will hit the radiator.
I would swap the output flange with you if you like.
Best of luck
