'94 D1 with 106,000. Fan turns freely by hand whether engine is hot or cold.
Is that the end of the viscous coupler?

Also, because I live in Arizona, running my LR too cold isn't really a concern. Is there any way to drill and 'Pin' that fan to make it a solid unit, thus saving me a couple hundred bucks?

Thanks,
Jim

The fan consumes alot of energy and leave the engine noisy, replacement beter option. What about the option to go to electric fan?
