Hello,

I want to start setting up the CDL on my 99 Disco II. I want to use the linkage that's in the tech section. I have a few questions:

1) How do I get to/where is the the CDL nut/bolt? Do I have to go from the top by removing the console or do I have to I have to drop the transfer case?

2) Is it difficult? Can I do it by myself?

3) Once set up, how do I get it to work? Will the light come on and turn off the ETC and Anti-Lock?

I know these sound like some dumb questions, but any help I can get is appreciated.

Thanks.

John

John, to answer your questions, you have to install the shifter through the console, no need to drop the T case. You can do it yourself but 2 people are better and YES it can be hard and may take you a long time. It works just like the shifter in a DI. The lights go on and off when you shift in and out. go to this link regarding the ETC and AL with CDL.
