I can't seem to shift the transfer case from High to Low, I have tried all methods that are in the manual but it seems like it's stuck. I am able to shift the CDL on and off and that works fine. Any suggestions on what I can do or what has gone wrong???

I have the same problem. I have yet to dive into it, but I can move the lever from right - to - left without problems. The LOCK light also comes on the dash when doing so. But, it seems to be stuck in the HIGH mode on either locked/nonlocked.

When attempting to put it in low, it starts to go up but just seems to do nothing. Other times it seems to pop out.. but it never really poped into anything.

I would love to find the 'answer' before ripping it apart. I have read a bunch regading the lever getting stuck, but this seems to go with from the locking / nonlocking positions.

Any help would also be appreciated.

Most people w/ "frozen" transfer case levers suffer from a problem of it not locking the CDL (I was one of these). There are, however, a few that have issues with the move between Hi / Lo. To be honest with you, taking out your center console and looking at the mechanism is pretty easy and probably the best way to know what to do next.

When you get the console and rubber boot out of the way, the Hi/Lo mechanism is the round ring that fits around the geared post on the right side of the lever box and goes down and toward the rear of your truck (the CDL connects to the inner part of the post and goes straight down). A small socket (8mm I think) will allow you to loosen the ring slightly and slip it off the lever box. You can then see if you are able to work the lever with no resistence. If not, start saturating the area with PBBlaster and really work it back and forth. It's likely just gumed up and will probably break loose. Once you get it moving, don't forget to grease it up so that it stays that way! When this happens you're going to want to keep using it to get it nice and loose and keep it that way. Just engage it at least once a week, drive a few feet and shift back. If the lever moves fine without the mechanism connected, then there may be something more serious wrong.
