Hi, I have the TJM bumper on my D1, and have yet to hook up the light indicator that came with the bumper. It wouldn't be a problem except I went for a safety, and they wouldn't pass me without them hooked up. I have wired the lights as indicated in the instructions, using two relays, but they still don't work properly. They will turn on with the headlights, but both flash when I put the indicater on (like the hazard lights) Any thoughts? Anyone wire these up on their vechicles? Thanks in advance. Aaron D1 |

You can try wiring them up to the side marker lights (the small lights in the side of the factory bumper, not the fender) instead. That way they will come on when you turn on your headlights but they don't do anything when you use your blinkers. Thus, no need for pesky relays... |

Hey, Aaron, that is how mine appear to be set up. They come on when you engage your lights but do not blink with hazzards or turn indicators... not sure if thats how they should work or not... |

Ronnie has the answer. Mine are wired this way with no blinking. |

Does your TJM bumpers have both an amber turn indicator as well as a clear fog? On my D2 T-17, I tapped the bumper indicators to the front turn indicators and the bumper clear fogs to my rear bumper fog lamps.

TJM t-15's for the D1, which I think is what aaron has, have only the amber lights. You either have it set to the front turn indicators or running lights. One or the other. |

What is this about relays then? Wouldn't you just use the wire tap to power the bumper indicators using the front turn signals? I don't think relays are necessary for the tiny indicator lights. |

Yeah, I dont get the relay issue. You either have them set for running lights or blinkers. I think I am going to change them over to blinkers because I think the bumper's "brush bar" might cover up the stock turn indicators. I need to check it out at night... |

If you do wire the lights to your turn signals it will effect the proper operation of the trailer light dash signal. The truck will think you are constantly running with a trailer. To fix this problem, the lights should be wired with a relay (Hella 3078) on each side. |

On my ARB I had the marker lights wired just like the oem bumper lights were and fried a 200 dollar headlight switch. So it might not be a bad idea to run them with relays apparently only small differences in watts can be costly. My 2cents |
