Brake lights stay on constantly, occured after a huge thunderstorm, could it be an electrical short? What else, help?

Mine does the same thing unless I pull off the pedal cover. On mine, it appears that the weight of the pedal cover is enough to not allow the pedal to return to full height (can't be more than a fraction). I pulled the switch and it is a bit sticky, but with the cover removed it works fine. I can't figure out if there is an adjustment on something but I'm hoping that you get a response from someone who enlightens us all. |

Try silicone on the switch. Over time they get crap down in them and don't allow it to return all the way. Not a big deal just a pain in the ass. |

Tried the pedal cover, didn't work, lights still stay on. We've had about 10 feet of rain in the past week here, could it be some type of electrical short? |

Not sure if this is possible, but maybe relay is stuck open. Remove the relay and see if that works. |

What about the brake light switch? I've done some internet searching and found this problem on other vehicles and the fix was replacing the brake light switch?? |
