I tried to install a uhaul trailer adapter using the notes in the tech section. However the wire colors in my 99 disco I dont match the tech section writers 97 disco colors. Does anyone know the wire colors on a 99 disco I? I am assuming I could juse use a voltage meter but wanted to try here first. Also when hooking up this adapter there is no mention on the white ground wire. Do I just ground that wire or leave it not hooked up? I would assume I ground it.

Rich, I can't answer your question, but when I recently tried to jerry rig a trailer plug everything seemed fine till they pluged in the u-haul, tested the lights once and it blew the taillight fuse which diables the gear shift interlock. just so you know, I called rover and they guided me thru the fuse fix and then I just sorta eased on out the u-haul place with the trailer not plugged in. FWIW |
