Has anyone experienced SACHS-BOGE shocks together with Tough Dog springs on LRD?! any comments?!?? http://www.sachs-automotive.co.uk/products/index.html I'm about to get a new setup, and the dilemma is taking a whole set of Tough Dog or combining the TD springs with Sachs shocks, a combination that can save me a buck or two (A TD shock will cost me twice as much as a Sachs piece!!!) Thanks, Nir. |

Hi Nir What are you trying achieve with your truck? More ground clearance or better road manners, these should determine what way to go. Pete S |

Hi Pete, I'll go for the first option, of course. yet as far as I see things - ground clearance will be achieved anyway, since i'm gonna use the TD springs in both setups. regarding road manners - that'll be effected by my choice eventually - TD shocks or Sachs... i know Sachs equips B.M.W, VW and Audi with their shocks - still i've never heard of 2+ tons offroad LRD that is equipped with these shocks... that's why i'm looking forward to get inputs from someone who has experienced these shocks on his offroader... |

Hi Nir I am running 2" OME HD springs and shocks all round, and seems to be the most popular set up. I have 235/85 R16 MTR`s and this gets me to the bottom of the ruts without killing my diff. I have never heard of TD springs! best of luck. Pete S |
