It looks like you would need disco II crush cans to make it work. alas I gave away the crush cans I had so I can find out for sure. Ron |

They are the mounting points on the bumper. They are built to crush if in a front end impact. They do this to allow for proper timing of the airbag deployment. JK |

Perhaps not...a DSII is four inches wider than a DI. -Barry |

Barry, The D2 Body is wider. But is the distance between the D1 and D2 frame rails the same? If they are, then Bill can break out his 1/2" power drill and make the magic happen. If not, well Bill will have to buy a D2 Paul '00 Pig |

Paul, If the DII Body is 4" wider than a D1, wouldn't the DII bumper stick out two inches either side if fitted to a D1? Hmmm, I thought the DII took on the wider axles from the Range Rover 4.0/4.6 which is why the DII is four inches wider than a D1. -Barry

Most of the width is in the frame. I held a DII bumper up to a DI and it looked cool and looked like it would fit ok. |

Interesting. Barry you are right and that goes back to the old debate of : If you own a D1, buy D1 stuff and if you own a D2, well then buy D2 stuff. |

Paul, does that debate even have a point of contention? Seems to me that you're just dispensing sound advice. |
