Can I just pull a fuse and is that safe to do? I heard hear before that you dont want to mess with any of the airbag stuff. When off-road I often find myself leaning close to the steering wheel to get a better view of the front corners. I hate to think what would happen to my face if the bag went off when leaning close to it. Thanks, Dan |

Geez Dan, that's a scary thought. I do that all of the time and never really considered it. A friend of mine got in a fender bender (small bump that might happen off road) and the air bag threw his arm agaist the window and broke his wrist. The air bag is something that I don't like to mess with (although I'm replying to your post) but if you figure something out I'd like to know. It would be nice to be able to just disconnect and connect when you wanted it. |

look at the fuse box under the steering column, there is a yellow cord going going into a plug on one of the fuse clusters. Pull this cord and they will be disabled. Personally I don't usually worry about it though. |

How about removing the fuse? I've never done it and see no real reason for doing it. Then again, I allways use the seatbelts unless when fording. Regards, Kinnie www.yenzatours.com |

old wives usually say that the airbag and related systems can retain a charge for days even if you pull the fuse... but then I havent seen to many old wives out on the trail so... |
