I got the spare to fit in the back last week. Now I'm wondering what tire pressure people are running these tires at. Currently, I have them at 32 front 38 rear. I'm also really frustrated with my tire guages. I have two ACU-Guages, problem is they don't agree with each other. They are about 5 PSI off from each other. The 4x4 one reads higher than the normal one. Anyone have experience with them? I'm not sure if the new digital guages would be any more accurate. THanks. |

good to hear you fitted the tire in the rear. here is a method that lets you fine tune your tire pressure based on what your vehicle weight is at the time: "you put a chalk line across the tread and drive straight for a few revolutions of the tire. the chalk should wear evenly with the correct pressure. more chalk worn in the center means too much air. chalk worn near the shoulders mean too little air." keep in mind LR also recommends about a 10psi difference between frt and rear pressure for some Rovers. Thanks Jaime. All seems well at about 32 front 42 rear. That solves my guage problem for the time being too. |
