I had to open up my coolant system to replace a sensor. I lowered the level a quart and replaced the sensor, then did the usual stuff to bring it back up and remove any air in the system. All is now buttoned up and functioning normally. However when I first started the truck to check the temp I had a "knocking" sound from what I assumed was the waterpump area. After the t-stat opened up and the top house got hot it seemed to go away. Any ideas? Is the pumping going or does this sound normal after such work was performed? Thanks, Tim 92' RR 156k |
