We have gotten innumerous requests to offer products for the LR's. We built them, and I'd simply like feedback as to what you think and if we should offer more products for the LR folks. thanks in advance.

Nice stuff. Before I head out on a trip, I usually have a web of cargo straps holding crap down in the Pig. A suggestion would be to manufacture an Adventure Rack specific cargo net.

Interesting, I was actually going to send you a request to make something...

If you were to make a 'dog guard' divider for the cargo area of a DI I would definitly buy it. I want one to keep stuff from flying up to the front in the event of an but since I fold my back seats up to haul large items quite frequently storing a metal divider has been deemed to big of a pain to mess with, storage for a webbing one wouldn't be a problem though.

Oh and if you want to sell more stuff for discoveries you might be better to concentrate more on DIs. I see the only stuff you currently have is labeled as being for DIIs but there are far more DIs being wheeled.

I'm with Carter, a "dog guard" made from that stuff would be great. My back seats are folded down 50% of the time or more, so having a mesh net would be great to keep batteries and seismographs from coming up and hitting me in the back of the head in the event of a crash.

Or a "dog guard" mesh net that fits right behind the driver and front passenger seats?

pershaps it could be designed so it could be moved from behind the back seats to just behind the front seats when the back seats are folded up.

Good suggestions, we do make a barrier net for the Jeep XJ/Cherokee that fits behind front two seats and the rear two seat as well.

Hello Eddie, the year span of the D1 here in the U.S. is 1994 to early 1999. When you going to make some of these up for us? Later.. Robert

I would seriously buy that net if it went into production for a DI and was priced similarly.

Eddie,

As far as the rack is concerned: The adventure rack spans the total length of the roof section. Therefore your great concept of a roof rack net with be longer as well.

Eddie,

I'm with Carter

"I would seriously buy that net if it went into production for a DI and was priced similarly."

and the idea of having it able to fit behind the rear seat or behind the front seats with the rear folded down would make it even better.

Any idea how long before this product would be available. I would love to have one before a trip I'm doing in August.

Both ideas for a full length adventure rack web and a cargo/dog barrier would be great. It might be nice to have the adventure rack net come in 2-pieces to allow for full or partial use.

Those things look great.

Eddie - just noticed this thread. I too would welcome a cargo net dog guard thing as Carter suggested. I was thinking about something like that recently and how I'd do it but if you're going to make one, then I'm interested. I'm running a D1 too. The picture of the net for the Jeeps looks cool...almost like military cargo nets for the cargo planes.

Incidentally, because Disco's have a raised roof, a cargo net that hangs off the ceiling back there might be an idea as well. Don't know if anyone else has a use for this but it would be nice for throwing light stuff like fishing rods and other fragile stuff like that up there.

Yes....and a roof rack net that can also be used as a dog gaurd....multi purpose type. That would be very nice.

Sounds very good, we'll round up a D1 here this week and see what we come up with. Could be out in several weeks if all works well. We developed a whole line of Nissan Exterra based upon feedback like this, including an interior roof net that I think would be nice for the D1'a as well.

Anything else, black in color, 1" or 2" wide look better. How willing would owners be to install mounting hardware if needed, etc.?

awsome Eddie, I think it is great to see you guys actively seeking feedback in forums like this to help make your products.

I would not object to installing mounting hardware, and it would probablly be neccesary. Black would be my one and only color consideration and I like the look of your 2" stuff much better than the 1"

I like the concept of a Dog Guard net that could be used behind front or back seats for a D2. I also like the Adventure Roof Rack Net, especially the idea of a split net that could be used as a half net or linked together to make a full net,or used as two half nets would be great. The D2 rack is about 6" longer than the D1 rack.

I would buy a dog net, a rear cargo net and a split roof rack net for a D2.....especially if there was a multi-purchase discount. Sorta like a SET for the D2.

I’d like to see the dog guard concept worked from the point of not installing any new hardware first.

800 lb break strength military grade cam buckles. One finger to squeeze and release, to tighten simply pull as tight as you want it.
We test fit a D1 tomorrow for the barrier net, will keep everyone interested posted on progress.

Eddie - that is a beautiful product line. Don't leave out the Defenders! We are some of the most cash-dropping Rover owners around. I've bought two different cargo net things and they both are shelved. Still looking for the right thing.

This is the baddest looking cargo net, but the ideal would include a version (if this isn't - I can't tell) that is made of BUNGEE netting.

http://www.expeditionexchange.com/trd/Image38.jpg

I would also buy the dog guard product thing for inside my Defender at almost any price. But it should have a little window opening in it so you can reach back if you want. Awesome stuff!!!

The D90 net we already have can run horizontal across the top or from the front above windshield and then straight down behind the front seats to the floor area (Pickup cab type style) or from the rear over head and then down straight behind the front seats. This net you can reach through to get items out of the back and all sorts of anchor rings to tie stuff too.
Maybe you can see it a bit in this picture.
http://www.raingler.com/shop/images/SEMA%20012.jpg

We are listening to all the ideas and feedback and as we fine tune to get the "right" items for the LR's we will get some better pictures up. Email me if you want any more of that D90 that's on our site that are not shown.
Thanks, let me know how you like the tie downs, hella lot stronger than bungees; speaking of, where does that net you posted a pic of go?
Here's something very similiar to the D90 that a customer just reviewed for some more ideas as to the strength and tautness of what we build (ie. no wind flapping etc.)
http://www.myjeeprocks.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68
Thanks!

Just got the Raingler fastening straps/tie downs. Best straps I've ever seen. That buckle is unstoppable, yet easy to use. Nice work guys. Beats em all.

Our first D1 fell through last week. Anyone want to participate in the Denver/Boulder CO area for product development? If we do in fact build it you get one for free. Otherwise, I have a contact at the LR dealership that we may use shortly.
Wicks, thanks for the feedback, what did you need to tie down, a mountain lion? <g>

sorry, i am in nc or i would love to participate in some product development.
