Hello All, I Was wondering if anyone was running Rovertym's new 20.5" free length, 128-225 lb/in progressive front springs on a D-90. I have a 19.1" free length, 153 lbs/in spring in the front of mine right now and was considering running these springs. If anyone is running them, and would take a moment to share their thoughts, as well as their set-up (Bumper, winch, etc... Distance between spring perches..) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx... ~Scott T. '95 D-90 (JEEPETR) '96 Discovery (5-Speed) |

Hey Randall, The Front Springs I am refering to are Old Man Emu 753's. I do not know if these are still in production or not, but they were originally purchased through Safari Gard as part of their Stage III Suspension Kit. Specs were 153 lbs/in. and 19.1" free length. You might want to Shoot John or Ho an e-mail at Expedition Exchange, and see if they can still get these special order from ARB, if you are interested in them.... ~Scott T. Scott That makes sense. I think ARB or OME was making those springs especially for Safari Guard. This spring would compress 6" on my truck. Will try to find out more. Randall |

Hey Randall, If it helps you any, my truck runs a Safari Gard bumper/skidplate combination on the front, with a Warn XD9000i winch w/125' of steel rope. With this set-up, I measure 13.75" between the upper and lower spring seats in the front, which puts me at 5.35" of Spring Sag. These springs have been on the truck for about four years, so they have definately "Set-in". Any other questions about the set-up, feel free to e-mail me.. ~Scott T.
