The headliner in my '95 DiscoI is starting to come down, and the carpet inside is showing its age as well...I was considering taking it all out and doing the whole interior with spray-in bedliner. The Rover is black with tan interior, so I was going to leave the tan plastic parts as they are and do only the fabrics in bedliner. I am also considering some black diamond plating for the cut-out sections in the doors, etc. Has anyone ever attempted something like this?

Good God your wife/girlfriend must be petrified of showing any signs of aging!
Check the archives, several posts about ripping out carpets and spraying this down, mostly to prevent rust from those water lovers.
Headliner, get it fixed, why spray?

Alyssa,
I'll let you know how it turns out--it may be a while before I get to it, though--I broke my rear axle and have to pay for that first.

A body shop friend also told me that there is a spray in sound proofing which can be painted over. If noise is an issue you may be able to do that under the bed liner spay.

once you take the headliner out youll see why. you'll be spraying over wires, moonroof motors and things like that, plus the dead air space between the healiner nad roof does lots for sound insulation.
