I am quite new to the digital pic thing. I got a picture CD with my regular pictures and I can view them on my PC but I can't get them to post on D-web. I think that the problem is that they are only coming up as 3.1MB. Can I fix this? |

Many ways to do this...download a free tool like Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/), open the image, then Save As and change the size, etc. Or if you have XP, use the image resizer tool in the powertoys (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp). Download and install it, then select one or more pics, right click and you have a menu option to resize in more popular resolutions. |

Hey, I just noticed they got a new powertoy, html slideshow. THis is an easy way for some of you guys to put your pics on the web in an easily navigatable manner without have to code html. Here's a sample: Sample Slide Show |

If the pics are 3.1 mp they may be in a .tiff format which means that along with resizing you will also need a program that will convert them to .jpg. Im not sure if Irfanview can do this but finding a program that can should not be a problem. Do a google search or look on twocows. |

The pics are .jpg. I got the software and can resize to the 320/240 that I need for D-web but I can't get the pic under 80KB. How do I get it under 80KB? |

Eric: Keep your eyes open on the "Events" topic, seems like we plan an outing every other weekend these days, day trips too. In fact, we were just out last Sun. There are some good guys with solid rigs from MD/NOVA that come down every now and then, plus there is a handfull of us here in the "valley" area that hooks up often. Lots of different trucks, D90, D1s, D2s, Series, LC, Zuk. |

Michael, Memorial Day weekend I drove shoe creek / crabtree. I have been to Big Levels too in Sherando but thats about it. I'd like to try Pott's Mountain in Roanoke and the GWNF trails near Harrisonburg sometime. Do you know of any other good local trails? |
