My 93 LWB has an ABS and parking brake light on and the left front caliper is locked up. What could have caused this? Booster? Servo? Is it just the brake caliper?

The brakes are very poor, but they stop straight.

I guess you mean the piston in the caliper is locked up, right? If that's the case then the seal around the piston is broke or the piston itself is corroded. They do sell kits to replace the seals and pistons. I am just guessing here...

Good luck,

John

Sounds like you've lost the abs pump. There is an outfit that repairs the unit here in the US. I can't remember who though so check the archives. Relplacement cost is pretty high though, about $600, and you should replace the accumulator at the same time which is another $250.

I believe it is the booster, anyone know where I can pick up a repair kit?

I'm not getting power to the plug going into the pump on the left hand side. Is there a relay, fuse or switch I need to check? I've checked the 4 flat fuses under the drivers seat and I'm getting power to the sockets and the fuses are good.
