Hey guys, well, I just got a phone call from Land Rover North America Corporate office, and Land Rover has offered to repurchase my vehicle from me. I would like to thank Land Rover Cincinnat, and especially general manager Joe Kroger, and finance manager Walter for all of their help on this. Land Rover has repeatedly refused to buy my vehicle back, and LR Cincy was able to work with the people in LRNA's corporate relations department to get them to buy it back. I have always known that Land Rover Cincinnati has always stood behind me, and am glad that they continue to offer such great service to some of their guests. I have decided that I will give Land Rover another chance and purchase another Land Rover product and am probably looking at a Disco SE, or HSE if they can find one with only the cold weather package, and rear A/C on it. I have to say that thanks to LR Cincy, i'm probably the happiest person on earth right now!

BTW, my current POS that Land Rover is buying back is my 02 Freelander. It's still in the shop as we speak!

a LR dealer standing behind the product?????? We should have them stuffed for posterity. Try LR Bedford Hills/Larchmont NY....they really suck. It's scary actually...and a real shame for otherwise tremendous vehicles.

I second that Peter, LR Larchmont is the worst.

No, Indianapolis is the worst. Drive into their lot in a dirty lifted Disco, poke around for 20 minutes at the Freebie in the lot and NOBODY comes out to see if you want to buy a new one. Yes, I was interested in buying another Rover!

Call their service department... After holding long enough to earn social security, find out that the first open slot in their schedule is 2005.

LR Farmington Hills helped me out greatly, but $1000 for a starter is way too much, but when they've got you, they've got you!

Paul now I have to disagree with you on that. People always come out and talk to me and ask about my disco. I even converted a Jeep owner to a Discovery II. And the service used to be horrible. But now they treat me good, only have my truck for a day. They often just make room for me. I no longer wait for weeks, 2 days at the most. They have been really helpful and nice.

It was just a month ago that I had the last experience. Every time I have been there, I have been treated to the "How can we let folks like you own a Rover" attitude. I even wore Khakis and a button-down last time and my truck was fairly clean.

When the only mud on a truck in the lot is a decal, I have to wonder what has happened.

Oh the guy always asks me where I went and comments on how he says it should look like that as do many of the sales men. That sucks they treat you like that! I think John Caslte is just a little young.

If it hadn't been for the name of the service manager, I'd wonder if we were talking about the same dealership!

Tom Williams Land Rover Dealership in Birmingham Alabama had no problem helping me when I took a tore-up 87 Rangie for the Fuel-tank recall. It was really funny actually to see my faded Rangie sitting there with all the bumper end-caps broke off, half a grill and basically covered in mud amoungst all those perfectly clean Range Rovers there for service. Of course this was a few years back but still remember it clearly. I guess thats why I went back and bought a new 94 Disco from them, even though they had a few sales people that wouldn't talk unless they saw a Rolex on your wrist (probably the same type Paul described), most of the salesman were very good. Goes to show you why they should treat everyone the same...

Anyone who does go to Tom Wood in Indianapolis, IN should talk to a salesmen, Barry something or another. He is the tall guy, he is really nice and helpful!

Damn, it is hard to keep my mouth shut on this one about Land Rover Cincy. I must say though, Randy has always been really cool to me.

Jpinson:
I have a Rolex on my wrist, it didn't seem to make much difference.

Hey Matt!

Peace,
Paul

On the Rolex who cares...just trying to say if you look like you have money, instead of looking like I look usually you'll get helped a lot quicker most places. And Paul I guess they don't always work LOL...oh well.

Hope LRNA actually has the balls to read this BB sometimes. They clearly have an active sales prevention department who are compensated by turning people off the product. As a Brit living in the USA and an avid LR fan, it REALLY pisses me off that Solihull/Ford or whoever else thinks this is OK
